MilSpouse Bloghop Party Post

First time doing a bloghop. :) Today is Military Spouse appreciation day and with my husband not home, I’m bored. My awesome friend Ann Marie (you may have heard of her. She’s Household6Diva) is doing a bloghop and I figured what better way to cure my boredom than to come play on the internet lol :P So, here goes nothing!

Hi! I’m Kim. Married to my soldier with two darling (yes, that’s sarcasm) daughters and our dog Ringo. We currently reside in Germany but are hoping to leave very soon! We’ve been in Germany for almost 2 years now and have mixed reviews about it. You can find some of my ramblings in my archives. ;)

This is me. I had head shots taken by the fabulous Jessica Ceason last year. Because I’m a professional photographer, that automatically means I hate being in front of the camera lol ;) But I’m happy that I took a leap of faith and trusted Jessica to make me look awesome!

head shot

This is my hubby, Aaron. He hates it when I post pictures of him on my blog lol. He might be just as camera shy as I am but at least he plays nice most of the time and will sit for me. :) Or I just sneak behind someone and get the damn image. lol Ha!

This is Mac. She’s our oldest and a total daddy’s girl! She’s not on my blog as often as I would like. Unfortunately, she doesn’t play nice and will act like a normal 7 year old when I get my camera out lol

And meet our monster, I mean Kelcie. She is my mom’s and Aaron’s mom’s curse of “your children will be just like you” all wrapped up in to one little tiny human being. I didn’t think I could have spawned such an evil little child lol. Most days she is a sweet heart but holy crap when it’s a bad day, LOOK OUT! lol

And I can’t forget about Ringo. He is our Bernese Mountain Dog. We really could not have asked for a better dog. He is mine and the girls protector and is definitely “the man of the house” when Aaron isn’t home.

And now that you’ve met us, let me tell you a little bit about me since it’s my blog and all lol ;). I was born in Oklahoma, grew up in a one (blinking) stop light kind of town in Kansas, and have somehow ended up in Germany. I own my own photography business and specialize in Senior Portraits and Boudoir Portraits. I am a member of the new on-line photography community, Shop Talk. I love the color PINK. I drive a Dodge Challenger. And I can’t wait to get the hell out of Germany and hopefully off to Fort Hood, TX lol. That pretty much sums me up in a nut shell. I encourage you to visit my blog often and comment on my posts. I love to talk and I use it as my place to tell my story. :) And This post has been linked to the military spouse appreciation blog hop hosted by HH6 and RC. They rock. ;)

OMG! I can’t believe I totally forgot this one awesome fact until I was typing out my SEO keywords. Anyways, I’m a HUGE 49ers fan. Just thought you might want to know that too. ;)

    Brea - Hi Kim!

First off, thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a bit of comment love! Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day!

I FINALLY found you! Haha! You didn’t link your website on my blog and it took me forever to find you on the list of blogs in the hop!

I am in absolutely love with your blog design! As a blog designer, I am immediately fascinated with all things design.. If you have a great design, I’ll be the first person to follow you on Bloglovin’ and stick around for more!

Plus, you have super adorable kids! What’s not to love? I tend to not feature many photos of my children in my blog posts for a similar reason.. Most oldest, Jagger, is a punk.. When I pull out a camera or my phone for pictures, he takes off to his room. I have tons of photos of my younger son, but you don’t want people to think you favor one child over the other, so I just leave them out. Your girls are beautiful and am I super jealous of all of the estrogen going on in your home. I am completely out-numbered and would love to have a little girl to dress up and do girly things with.. Sure beats the hell out of stepping on Legos and action figures!

Thanks again for stopping by and I look forward to reading more about you in the future! I’m following you on Bloglovin’. :)ReplyCancel

Amanda - Hi! I’m stopping by from the blog hop. I am also in Heidelerg, like to take pictures but not usually to be in them, and have a husband who doesn’t like me to post pictures of him on my blog. I’m still loving Germany so far but it does seem most people are ready to go home after two or three years. Hope you get your choice of Ft. Hood and it’s a smooth PCS :)ReplyCancel
