Let’s talk make-up

Before moving to Texas, I didn’t work with a make-up artist. It has been a “want” of mine for a while now to partner with make-up artist. There is just something about getting all dolled up and having your photo taken. AND it’s even better when someone does your make-up for you. When a client ops to do their own make-up (and this is changing), I tell them to come in photo ready. It’s my fault for not completely defining what photo ready is. After watching Sue Bryce on CreativeLIVE, I decided to take a few sample shots to do just that. I am not a make-up artist, so this isn’t perfect, but you should get the idea. ;)

Here is a natural look. This is something I’d probably wear if I’m going to work at home and don’t have to see any clients. Unless you are going for a super soft look, this is not photo ready.

Here is a look I’d probably wear when going out on a date night with Aaron. My make-up is a little darker and my lips have a little more color. This would be considered photo ready for a flirty, soft look.

This look is much different from the first two. My make-up is much darker. I have a smokey eye and false eyelashes. My lips are more red, and I have just a little bit more pink on my cheeks. This look would be great if you’re going for a sultry, sensual look.
