Facebook

AH! This past week or so I’ve taken a break from my personal Facebook account. Yep, totally deactivated it. lol And I still haven’t decided when I’m going to reactivate it yet. It’s been quite and nice and I’ve been less pissed off. I was thinking about it this morning and I have come to the conclusion that Facebook has taken away our “cooling off time.” If that makes sense. Before Facebook, if you had an issue with one of your friends, you just didn’t talk for a few days or weeks and then you got over it. Remember? We didn’t have to see each other all the time, we didn’t have to know what they were doing every minute of every day, we couldn’t sit here and obsess over it every time it popped up in our newsfeed and get even more pissed off at something that could have been taken care of with a few days of cooling off. We would simply see each other in passing. You had time to “miss” that person. If it was a real friendship, you’d get over and life would go back to normal. You’d have lunch or something, decide it was stupid in the first place, and BAM! you’re back to being friends again and this is just something you’d laugh about in the future because it was totally ridiculous in the first place. You know what I mean? I feel like I’m sounding like a crazy person right now lol. So, if I don’t sound like a crazy person to you, let me know in the comments. ;)

And just to get it out there too, yes, I kept my fan pages. I have a business to run and it’s part of my marketing. “BUT you kept your “artist” fan page!?” Yes, I did. It has given me the ability to share and to connect without having to see what everyone is doing at every minute of the day. ;)
