I know some of ya’ll have notice I haven’t been shooting that much these last few months. I planned on taking off December, like I always do, but with Aaron’s heart surgery, I needed to take off November too. Had to cancel a few shoots and miss a workshop, but my husband needed me.

Well, here it is January, and I’m still not ready to open up my calendar for photo shoots. Why? Well, the short answer is, Aaron’s recovery didn’t quite go as planned. We’re still making random trips to the E.R., not saying they’re unnecessary or I’m complaining about it so don’t read too much into that, and until those slow down or stop, I just can’t be in two places at once. It’s hard when you just get to a shoot, in the middle of a shoot, or needing to get out a gallery to tell your client “Sorry, I’m not in the office right now.” Yes, all of my clients have been so supportive and so understanding! <3 But just knowing that I missed deadlines or just left people hanging is causing/ed a ton of stress.

So, in the mean time, I am 1. Focusing on my health + fitness coaching because I can literally work on it and with my clients from anywhere and (Edited To Add: I’m back at photography again and couldn’t be happier! So, if you’re interested in a shoot, EMAIL ME! I’d love to hear from you! <3) 2. Going to starting picking up my camera more often even if it’s just to go shoot the dogs while they play in the backyard. <3

Pretty sure Chuck was so confused and probably wondering what I was doing. Last time I was out there it was to install the electric fence.

Angela Powell Woulfe, Photographer - What’s that saying? “You cannot pour from an empty cup.” (Or something like that.) Take care of yourself and Aaron, and the rest will fall into place. Sending you much love!ReplyCancel

Kim Kravitz - Yes! I love that saying! And I have it written down so I can look back at it to remind myself to take care of me too. Thanks for commenting girl! <3ReplyCancel

That there are members of our family that have never seen snow before.

Sometimes it’s the little things in life you take for granted lol. Like…snow. :) Have you noticed anything that seem so “little” to you but your kids have never experienced before?

Someone has been sneaking into our guest room and sleeping on the bed. He so knows better! I love my dogs, but they are not allowed on the furniture. I didn’t have the heart to make him move because he looked so comfortable lol.

michael - That was his dream. He longs for that bed. And he finally slept on it. I’ll bet that was the most delicious snooze he ever had. :-)ReplyCancel

There are days in the past, and I’m sure there will be days in the future, that I will not be  able to make it into Bentonville to the gym. I decided to setup a little home gym area in my office. Part of the awesomeness of Hammer + Chisel is I can take it to the gym or I can do it at home. It was designed to be done at home, but let’s face it, I’m at home way too much as is so the gym is my happy place!

Back to my point lol HA!, here’s a look at what I have so far…

I still need to get a bench but it’s not a must have to start the program. I did get a stability ball for Christmas that I can use in the mean time until I can get the bench.

Hammer + Chisel is a 60 day program and I’m starting it with my coach on January 4th. So, it’ll be March before I’ll have a before and after picture and a complete review of the program. Until then, I would love for you to join me and follow my progress on Instagram or Facebook. <3

Well, almost! The kids still have another week of winter break left but the chaos of Christmas is over. I’m a last minute shopper. I think I started shopping the week of Christmas, I know I know. lol HA! So, I’m definitely ready for this slower week.

Are you a last minute shopper like me or do you plan ahead and get it done early?
