Are you nuts?

The simple answer, yes. lol I’m pretty sure all of my friends could have told you this already. I posted on my Instagram and Facebook Page the other day asking people what their dream job was. Everyone had different answers and different reasons on if they would take that job and drop everything if it was offered to them. Well, that’s what I’m about to do and “are you nuts” was my friend Tammy’s response. Since I was a teenager, I’ve wanted to be involved in law enforcement. My two goals were to become a cop or a social worker. FBI agent was thrown in there too once upon a time. lol Surprised?

A few days ago I was dropping the kids off at school and daycare and an ad on the radio came on announcing that one of the local police departments was hiring. My heart fluttered just a little bit. FINALLY! We just got here, supposed to be here for a while. I finally have the opportunity to apply! I tried this back in Junction City, KS when we lived there but I knew we were only there for a year and knew that wasn’t going to work. So, I went back to school to work on my criminal justice degree. And #mriamkimkravitz wasn’t exactly on board with this idea of me being a cop either lol. Something in the last few years, though, has changed his mind and he’s totally supporting me on this.

So, where does that leave photography? On hold. For at least the next three weeks until after the PT Test. I know some of you are just like my friend Tammy and think I’m nuts for doing this, but maybe you can relate? Haven’t you put your whole heart into your photography career because it was your dream job? ;)

So many people are luckly to of had you in this field of photography as long as we have..i never would of been brave enough to venture into it as i did at my age, without YOU. I know that your foot w/ stay in the door in some aspect of it, picking up a camera is part of you…once you do it, it probably never leaves you really. Love you girl…ReplyCancel
